If you've found the Adelaide University research project you wish to apply for, complete the expression of interest form.

Step of 3:

To register your interest in , you will need the following attachments in PDF format (combined into a single PDF file and saved with the name format: Last name_First Name_Portfolio_date):

  1. A short statement or research proposal of no more than 200 words to indicate your research interests and what you would like to research for your degree (this is the first thing a potential supervisor will see, so make it concise, emphasising your research strengths and what area you are hoping to study);
  2. A Curriculum Vitae prepared on the University’s [Structured CV template] for HDR applicants, detailing any relevant qualifications and work/research experience;
  3. Academic transcripts for your undergraduate and postgraduate studies, showing the grades you have received;
  4. Evidence to demonstrate that you meet the University’s English Language Proficiency requirements for your proposed area of research (e.g. upload of a recent IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/C1 Advanced certificate). If you have English test results pending, or have an English test booked, you may indicate this instead.
  5. Where relevant, provide the following:
    • Your Google Scholar ID and/or ORCiD ID;
    • Any previous academic research dissertations;
    • Any other information/documentation that confirms your research experience.

If you’ve previously been a student at Adelaide University or one of our foundation institutions: The University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia, please add the relevant ID from your previous institution/s.

      Your interest in the project {Project Name} has been lodged and you will receive an email confirmation.

      Your portfolio submission will be reviewed by the listed supervisor after the application deadline of {dd/mm/yyyy}. Shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation for an interview (online).

      If you are successful in receiving confirmation that a supervisor is willing to support an application from you, you will then be invited to submit a formal Higher Degree by Research application via the online application portal.
