Academic support

Adelaide University will offer a range of academic learning support services and resources to help you achieve your best during your studies. These services include writing and study skills support and maths learning support. 

Academic services will be delivered in a variety of formats to suit your learning preferences, such as:

  • 1:1 appointments with a learning adviser (face-to-face or online)

  • Drop-in sessions with a maths tutor (face-to-face or online)

  • Group workshops

  • Peer-led learning sessions delivered by students who have successfully completed your courses

  • Online self-help resources

  • Online 24/7 support.

International support services

At Adelaide University, we want you have the best possible experience studying and living in South Australia. Feel welcomed to Adelaide University with pre-arrival information and our exciting Orientation program that will connect you with fellow students, staff and programs. 

We also provide a specialist help service to assist you with any issues that could impact the conditions of your student visa. 

As an international student, you’ll have opportunities to get involved in a range of social programs – from clubs and societies to sport. Get ready to make meaningful connections with your peers while exploring all that South Australia has to offer.

Support for veterans

Adelaide University recognises that your commitment to service, deployments and other related responsibilities can cause unavoidable disruption to your study plans. Whether you’re continuing your service or transitioning to civilian life, we offer personalised support to help you succeed.

When you register with Adelaide University’s Veterans’ Support Program, you will receive a Confirmation of Registration and a Veterans’ Special Consideration document. This will allow you to negotiate reasonable academic adjustments with university staff, so you can respond to the unique challenges that could arise due to your current or prior service.

This program is available to enrolled students who are current serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members (including reservists), first responders and immediate family members of members and first responders.
