Adelaide University is building momentum, releasing more than 400 in-demand degrees designed for modern learners ahead of its doors opening in 2026.
The new Adelaide University has now launched its full program suite for 2026, uplifted for future generations, as it progresses its ambition to deliver Australia’s most accessible, contemporary and future-focused teaching and learning experience.
Programs provide greater choice for learners, including comprehensive on-campus offerings with optional online learning, regional study options, alternative entry, research degrees, along with a dedicated suite of 100% online degrees for students seeking the ultimate flexibility.
“Today’s milestone signals an exciting new era for Adelaide University as we prepare to take on our first cohort of both local and global students early next year,” said Professor Jessica Gallagher, Deputy Vice Chancellor International and External Engagement, Adelaide University.
“Our transformative curriculum has been co-designed with more than 3,000 academics and teaching innovation experts and 200 industry employers to ensure courses are at the cutting-edge and graduates are prepared for jobs of the future.
“All students across all programs will study common core courses, unique to Adelaide University, in areas such as artificial intelligence, data knowledges, entrepreneurship and design thinking, ethical knowledges, intercultural understanding, and First Nations knowledges as part of our distinctive Adelaide Attainment Model.
“We have also reimagined research degrees designed to attract global talent and increase accessibility to more diverse candidates through fast-tracked, nested and bridging qualifications across more than 400 research projects.”
A key part of Adelaide University’s education agenda is the pledge to be both a place for excellence and equity. This will be realised in part through Guaranteed Entry initiatives and a new range of enabling programs, which provide alternative entry for students and broadening access and participation, including Foundation Studies and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Pathway program – with more to come.
This is further supported by domestic scholarships, backed by a $120 million Equity Scholarship Fund, which will enable more students from different backgrounds the opportunity to study at the tertiary level.
Tom Steer, Adelaide University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor Student Experience and Success, said that current and commencing students from both of the foundation universities are central to this next chapter.
“All students who are continuing their studies in 2026 will transition to the new institution in either their existing or an equivalent program and will be highly supported over that time,” said Steer.
“We are excited to offer students an enhanced program suite and learning experience that couples face-to-face learning with a sector-leading digital learning platform, work integrated learning and experiential opportunities such as placements, workshops, clinics, and industry projects.”
Adelaide University is on track to deliver Australia’s new for-purpose university with nation-leading curriculum informed by industry together with exceptional student experience, as a member of Australia’s Group of Eight (Go8) leading universities, launching bright futures.
Domestic applications will open in August.
