Do I have health cover if my home country government has a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement (RHCA) with the Australian government?
Last Modified: 13/Jul/2024
Australia has a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement (RHCA) with some countries. Citizens from these countries may be eligible for medical care under Medicare, Australia's publicly funded universal health care insurance scheme.
Medical care is only available for international students who are eligible, whilst living in Australia on a student visa.
For more information see Service Australia's Reciprocal Health Care Agreement (RHCA).
