Presentations

Join us for a series of short, informative presentations covering everything you need to know about studying at Adelaide University in Whyalla. Learn about our degrees, entry pathways, scholarships, and the support available to help you succeed.

 

Each session includes a Q&A, along with an opportunity to experience the facilities you will learn in, so come with your questions!

Information booths

Chat one-on-one with friendly staff at our information booths and get personalised advice on your study options. Explore degrees offered at the Whyalla campus, learn about entry pathways, scholarships, and student support services.

Student accommodation tours

Take a guided tour of our on-campus student accommodation and see what it's like to live and study in Whyalla. Explore the modern facilities, comfortable living spaces and convenient location – all just a short walk from your classes.

 

Jump on a tour from the ICC at 11:15am, 12:00 pm, 12:45pm, 1:45pm or 2:30pm.

Activities

There’s more to Open Day than just information. You can enjoy a great day out on campus! Explore the grounds and soak up the community atmosphere.

 

Grab a coffee or bite to eat from Mint Café, which will be open and serving delicious food and drinks throughout the day.

  • Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Midwifery
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Social Work
  • Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Ageing & Disability
  • Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Human Services

You can also study a pathway program:

  • Foundation Studies
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Pathway

If you live in or near Whyalla, Open Day is a great opportunity to explore the campus, meet the teaching staff and chat to current students about their study experiences. We can also help you with your application to university. Classes at the Whyalla Campus are mostly scheduled close together, so you should only need to be on campus 1-2 days per week, making it ideal for those who live in outlying towns. This campus also has its own student accommodation option.

The Whyalla Campus is located in the regional city of Whyalla, set in the coastal Eyre Peninsula Region. A four hour drive from Adelaide.

The Whyalla campus is accessible to all. Complete with ramps, lifts and accessible study spaces.

The campus is fortunate to have Mint Cafe located within the busy central part of the campus, offering great coffee and food options. Mint Cafe is open from 7am to 4pm on week days. They are closed on weekends, but will be open for the Whyalla Campus Open Day event.

The campus also has a range of vending machines on campus, for that quick snack between classes.

There is ample free parking available on campus, accessible off Russell Street and Nicolson Avenue.

If you’re choosing to study at our modern, vibrant Whyalla Campus, then the Student Residential Village  is the best place to live. Students have their own bedroom and share a bathroom with one other student. A fully furnished kitchen and common living area means you can interact and study with your peers. Applications are accepted for shorter and longer-term stays. Length of stay Cost Short term $50 per night Long term $100 per week
