Wondering how Open Day works? Start here for simple info to plan your day at City East.


Adelaide City Campus East covers the expanse between North Terrace, Frome Rd and Victoria Drive.  
Different buildings will have different activities and presentations – check the local map to find what activities will interest you.  

A Pot Called Kettle Cafe will be available for coffee and small bites, located in Building A.

Rundle Street/Rundle Mall are also within walking distance of the campus for café, restaurant and quick food dining options.

Parking is not available on campus. The closest nearby paid carparks are Wilson Parking facilities on North Terrace (251 North Terrace) and Frome Road (Lot 14).   
 

Yes – please check the Adelaide Metro website for the latest bus, train or tram timetable information from your location. 

Free public transport options within the CBD to this campus include the city tram (details below), and Routes 98A/C and 99A/C free city loop buses (Disembark at Stop G1 North Terrace – North side, or Stop T1 North Terrace – South side).  
 
We have also partnered with Beam scooters so you can take a free scooter between our City East and West campuses. 
 

One of the best ways to get to Open Day and travel between our city campuses is to take the free Adelaide Metro Tram. The tram stops out the front of both our City West and City East campuses. For more information, visit the Adelaide Metro website.

  • If you are currently at City East, take the Entertainment Centre or Royal Adelaide Hospital tram to the City West stop. 
  • If you are currently at City West, take the Botanic Gardens tram to the University stop

City East is our main hub for Health. You’ll be able to find out all information about Health degrees at our Study Hub and can explore facilities related to allied health and human performance (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and podiatry), nursing and midwifery, dentistry, medical radiation science, nutrition and food science, biomedical science, public health, and other facilities.

City West has presentations and activations for Medicine, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, and Outdoor and Environmental Leadership. The Adelaide Health Simulation will also be open for you to explore, which includes facilities for our medicine degrees. 

We recommend you explore any facilities that pique your interest across both campuses to ensure you don’t miss out on anything. You can also get a glimpse of what other degrees within Health have to offer. 

Water stations are in the bottom of Centenary and Playford Buildings (Level 3) and in Student Lounges. 
 

The City East campus has lifts and accessible access to all locations open on the day.  

The campus will have signage to direct you to key facilities. Helpful staff will also be around campus to guide you to your destination.

Key Areas: Health Study Hub 

Accessible access to Brookman Hall is via Centenary Building Walkway on Level 6. 

  1. Enter Centenary Building.
  2. Take the lift to Level 6. 
  3. Turn immediately left upon existing the lift, and follow the hall. 
  4. Turn left again at the signage which says Access to Brookman Hall, and follow ramp into the hall. 

Key Areas: Medical Radiation Science facilities, Anatomy Lab

Access to the Anatomy Lab and Speech Pathology Teaching Lab (Level 3) is via Playford Building Walkway. 

  1. Use the link between Centenary and Playford on Level 3 to enter Playford. 
  2. Continue down the hall until you reach the link between Playford and Bonython Jubilee to enter Level 3 of Bonython Jubilee. 

Access to Medical Radiation Science facilities (Level 1) is via Playford Building Walkway on Level 1. 

  1. Use the link between Centenary and Playford on Level 3 to enter Playford. 
  2. Continue down the hall in Playford and use the second lift (pass the main stairwell) to Level 1. 
  3. Use the walkway (across the driveway) into Level 1 of Bonython Jubilee. 

Key Areas: Biology Lab, Chemistry Lab, Histopathology and Haematology Lab 

  1. Enter Basil Hetzel building Level 3 from the Plaza. 
  2. Take the lift to your respective floor (available on your left). 

Key Areas: Centenary Presentation room, Nursing spaces, Midwifery spaces, High Performance Sport Centre

  1. Enter Centenary, moving towards the lecture theatre/volunteer hub.

  2. Take the lift to your respective floor. 

Key Areas: Commercial Kitchen, Physiology Lab, Exercise Physiology Lab, Public Health Teaching Lab

  1. Use the link between Centenary and Playford on Level 3 to enter Playford. 
  2. Take one of the two lifts (located on the left) to your respective floor. 

Please note the two lifts have different bottom floors.  

  1. If accessing Bonython Jubilee Level 1 – use the lift further down the hall (North).  

Key Areas: Allied Health Spaces: Physiotherapy/Speech Pathology/Podiatry spaces

  1. Enter Helen Mayo North via Frome Road

  2. Take the lift (left of entrance) to Level 3. 

  3. Turn immediately left upon existing the lift and follow the hall.  

Key Areas: Allied Health Spaces: Occupational Therapy

Accessible access to Brookman Hall is via Centenary Building Walkway on Level 6. 

  1. Enter Santos Petroleum Engineering near the Food trucks

  2. Take the lift to Level 4.
