How to apply for USC – International students

University Senior College

Applying for a place at University Senior College as an international student is easy.

1. The application form

Download and complete the application form.

2. Include your documents

Your application MUST include the following six items to be considered. (Certified copies need to be stamped and witnessed before inclusion in your application):

  • Certified translated copies of school reports for the last 2 years.
  • Certified copies of results for any English language examinations or English language study program that has been undertaken in the last 2 years.
  • Certified copy of Passport
  • Certified translated copy of Birth Certificate.
  • A translated testimonial reference letter from your principal/teacher.
  • A homestay profile if required.

3. Send applications and required documents

Send your completed application form, documentation and application fee to your educational agent or directly to USC International team via email usc.international@adelaide.edu.au

4. Your letter of offer

If you are successful, you will receive by email a Letter of Offer which includes terms of enrolment. It is important at this stage that parents and students understand the following requirements and conditions below. These include:

  • Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
  • Course entry requirements
  • Course information, qualification and assessment practices
  • Fees Schedules and the fact that fees may change
  • Refund Policy
  • Complaints and Appeals Policy
  • Attendance and Course Progress Policy
  • Welfare and Accommodation Policy
  • Grounds for deferring, suspending or cancelling enrolment
  • ESOS Framework
  • Other information as required under 2007 National Code Standard 2

5. Accept your offer

When a place is offered, please ensure all relevant documents are completed and signed by parents/guardians. The signed offer confirms that all policies, conditions, and requirements have been read, understood, and accepted. 

To accept the offer, payment is required. Payment can be made by bank cheque, credit card or electronic transfer. Payment details are provided in your Letter of Offer. 

Please return the signed offer and provide the evidence of payment.

6. Apply for visa

Upon receipt of the required documentation, duly signed by parents, together with the associated fees, USC will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE). The eCoE is a mandatory document for the lodgement of an application for a Student Visa (Subclass 500).

A student Homestay profile form will also be sent to you at this time for organisation of the Homestay accommodation.

7. Entry to Australia and start your study!

Once your student visa is approved, please advise us via usc.international@adelaide.edu.au. You can enter Australia to commence either your English for academic purposes (Intensive English) course or your academic study.

Airport Pick up: If a student has requested an airport pick up, they will be greeted at the airport by their host family.
