Course overview
The Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (SHSSP) is a unique international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary learning experience delivered in partnership between Adelaide University and the International Space University (ISU).
Held over four intensive weeks, the SHSSP provides an opportunity for you to develop a multidisciplinary understanding of the key activities and areas of knowledge required by today’s space professions, including:
- space science and exploration
- space applications and services
- human spaceflight and life sciences
- space systems engineering and technologies
- space policy, economics and law
- space business and project management
- space humanities, communications, art and culture.
You’ll also have the chance to collaborate with fellow students on a team project that reflects current trends and opportunities in the space sector, and network with peers, academics and industry professionals from across the world.
Upon completion, you’ll receive an Executive Certificate and join the vibrant SHSSP alumni network of more than 6,000 alumni from 112 countries — including astronauts, space agency heads, CEOs, and leading academics.
The SHSSP is open to Australian and international participants from all disciplines, with scholarships and group discounts available. Participants are often professionals in industry, government and the defence services; graduate researchers; and undergraduate students who have completed at least two years of their studies.
