The Ziptrak Engineering and Industrial Design Grant will be awarded to a student who is enrolled full-time or part-time in one of the following undergraduate or postgraduate programs at Adelaide University:
⦁ Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) (Honours)
⦁ Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours)
⦁ Bachelor of Industrial Design
⦁ Bachelor of Creative Arts
⦁ Graduate Diploma in Design majoring in Industrial Design
⦁ Master of Design majoring in Industrial Design
The grant will be available to:
⦁ second‚ third or fourth-year engineering students
⦁ second or third-year Industrial design students
⦁ postgraduate students undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Design majoring in Industrial Design or Master of Design majoring in Industrial Design
The recipient will be offered the opportunity to engage with Ziptrak to learn more about the manufacturing industry and gain valuable experience from a leading South Australian company. The engagement will be tailored and mutually agreed between Ziptrak and the recipient and may take the form of mentoring support‚ work placement / internship‚ or paid work experience during semester breaks and the summer vacation period.
Value: $6,000
Payment will be in two instalments:
$3,000 (paid after the census date for Semester 1)
$3,000 (paid after the census date for Semester 2)
Pro-rata payments apply for part-time students. The recipient must maintain enrolment and satisfactory academic progress.

⦁ Australian Citizen‚ Australian Permanent Residents‚ Holders of Permanent Humanitarian Visa, New Zealand Citizens or International Student.
⦁ Second‚ third or fourth-year (engineering) or second or third-year (industrial design) students enrolled in an eligible undergraduate program (to be eligible a student must have completed at least 36 units inclusive of credit)‚ or postgraduate students undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Design majoring in Industrial Design or Master of Design majoring in Industrial Design.

Applicants are required to provide a CV and personal written statement (maximum 500 words) detailing:
⦁ Reasons for studying their Adelaide University program and how the degree supports their aspirations.
⦁ Future career goals.
⦁ Financial and/or educational barriers that impact access to study or continued study.
⦁ Community involvement / extracurricular interests or activities.
⦁ Academic achievements.
To receive the grant‚ applicants must demonstrate financial and/or educational barriers that impact access to study or continued study and a passion for their Adelaide University program.
