The William Silver Scholarship was established in 1965 at the University of Adelaide through a gift from the friends and pupils of the late William Silver, a teacher in the Elder Conservatorium from 1919 to 1947. The scholarship supports undergraduate students of the piano at the Elder Conservatorium of Music.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate student studying piano at the Elder Conservatorium of Music

Selection criteria

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:

  • Musical talent and promise in piano
  • Preference will be given to a student who is under the age of 18 

Important information

  • There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
  • You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
  • The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
  • Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may be eligible for this Scholarship
