The WSPN Kimberley Pursche Grant sponsored by the Whyalla Suicide Prevention Network Inc and the Pursche Family‚ is awarded to an enrolled student who is studying an undergraduate degree at the Whyalla Campus.
The grant recipient will have demonstrated capacity to increase the awareness of mental health and decrease the stigma related to mental illness throughout their undergraduate degree. This could be through their course work‚ work placements or campus leadership‚ as well as through community involvement contributing to mental health outcomes.
Value: $1‚000.00
Scholarship recipients who are enrolled part-time will receive pro rata payments.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Grants‚ applicants must:
- Be an Australian Citizen‚ Permanent Resident‚ Holder of Permanent Humanitarian Visa or New Zealand Citizen
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time in an undergraduate degree at the Whyalla campus‚
- Provide a written statement addressing the points listed below.
Selection criteria
Applicants must provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) detailing how they have:
- Demonstrated outstanding contribution to increasing your own knowledge of mental health and wellbeing‚
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of suicide prevention and mental health services available to people who live with mental illness in SA rural communities‚
- Promoted positive mental health and wellbeing throughout your degree on campus and in the community‚
- Encouraged others in promoting mental health and wellbeing.
Important information
Furthermore‚ recipient of the “Kimberley Pursche” grant will be expected to meet with the WSPN network within the 12 months following receipt of the prize. This will be arranged by invitation from the Chair of the WSPN.How to apply
