The Wattle Range Council Adelaide University Study Grant provides encouragement and support for talented students from the Wattle Range Council area as they commence an Adelaide University undergraduate program.
The grant will be awarded to students who resided in the Wattle Range Council area during Year 12‚ or in the period immediately prior to lodging an application to study at Adelaide University.
Value: $2‚500
Payment will be in two instalments:
$1‚250 (paid after the census date for Semester 1)
$1‚250 (paid after the census date for Semester 2)

Eligibility
⦁ Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, Holders of Permanent Humanitarian Visa, or New Zealand Citizen.⦁ Have resided within the Wattle Range Council area (postcodes 5277‚ 5278‚ 5279 and 5280) during Year 12‚ or in the six-months prior to lodging an application to study at Adelaide University.
⦁ Be relocating from the Wattle Range Council area to Adelaide or be enrolled at the Adelaide University Mt Gambier campus
⦁ Be a commencing student in their first year of higher education study.
⦁ Full-time or part-time enrolment in an undergraduate program.
⦁ Demonstrated financial need.
Selection criteria
Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 250 words) outlining:⦁ Reasons for studying their Adelaide University program and how the degree supports their future goals.
⦁ Local community involvement or extracurricular activities.
⦁ How the grant funds will be used.
⦁ Any financial need the applicant wishes to be taken into account.
Important information
Applicants will need to demonstrate financial need to apply for the grant. This can be done by providing evidence of current receipt of a Health Care Card and/or Centrelink benefit e.g. Abstudy‚ Austudy‚ Youth Allowance‚ etc. Applicants not in receipt of government benefit can complete the Adelaide University Financial Details for Scholarship Eligibility form‚ to support their application.The grant will be awarded on the basis of financial need and content of the written statement.
