A merit-based scholarship bequeathed in 1972 by Ella Syme Everard in memory of her late husband Charles John Everard.
This scholarship is for eligible commencing graduate research candidates studying agricultural or horticultural science on a full time basis. The successful applicant will receive $40,150 p.a. (indexed) for up to 3.5 years.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to hold the Scholarship, a candidate must:
- be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident of Australia;
- be commencing a full-time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at the University; and
- be undertaking research in the field of agricultural or horticultural sciences.
Candidate selection
The Scholarship will be awarded via a competitive selection process based on academic merit, research potential and relevance of academic research.
Important information
Students are eligible to hold additional funding from other sources, however the total value of the additional awards must not exceed 75% of the value of the Major Scholarship.
