The Schulz Postgraduate Scholarship for the Study of Education was established in 1957, when Adolf John Schulz bequeathed money to the University of Adelaide for the purpose of promoting postgraduate research work in the theory of education.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking a postgraduate coursework or postgraduate research program in the School of Education and whose research project is relevant to the theoretical study of education from varying perspectives
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form
- Relevance of the research relating to the theoretical study of education from its varying perspectives as part of a comprehensive philosophy

- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
