The Sarre Family Refugee Grant provides encouragement and support for an undergraduate female student from a refugee or humanitarian background who has demonstrated leadership skills. The grant is available to female students from a refugee or humanitarian background studying full time at any year level of an undergraduate program.
The grant is valued at $2,500 and will assist the recipient meet the costs associated with their living and/or education expenses.
Value: $2,500
Payment will be in two instalments:
$1,250 (paid after the census date for Semester 1)
$1,250 (paid after the census date for Semester 2)
Payment is subject to the student being enrolled and maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) detailing:
⦁ Reasons for studying your Adelaide University program and how the degree supports your future aspirations
⦁ Your background prior to Adelaide University study.
⦁ Academic achievements.
⦁ Any financial and/or educational barriers that impact access to study or continued study
⦁ Examples of demonstrated leadership.
The grant will be awarded on the basis of the content of the written statement and demonstrated leadership skills.
Preference may be given to students studying psychology‚ law or social work.
