The Professor Lester-Irabinna Rigney AM Aboriginal Postgraduate Grant provides $4‚000 as a direct offset of lost income to enable students to forgo paid employment during one of their teaching practicums. Grants are available to all enrolled Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students studying Master of Teaching by coursework. Payment will be made upon first notification of a practicum placement.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant‚ students must:
⦁ Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student
⦁ Be enrolled full time or part time in the Master of Teaching (ZMAEA, ZMAPR or ZMASE) program
⦁ Be undertaking a practicum placement
Important information
Grant funding is limited and once all funds have been expended no further grants will be awarded.
Payment will be made upon first notification of a practicum placement.
Grants will be paid for one placement only to eligible candidates. If required to repeat a placement‚ students will not receive a grant for any subsequent placement attempt.
Grant recipients will be requested to submit a progress report in the year in which they receive the grant.
