In 1995 Mrs Maude Harriet Riley donated money to the Elder Conservatorium of Music to establish a prize or scholarship for a student of piano in her name. The scholarship supports a student of piano in their second year of the Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance, Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Performance or Bachelor of Music (Advanced) program of study at Adelaide University.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be in the second year of a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance, Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Performance or Bachelor of Music (Advanced) program studying piano
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full-time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Music performance on the piano
- Outstanding potential for further development in the field

- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may be eligible for this Scholarship
