The Korvest Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Scholarship is available to second-year students enrolled full-time (preferred) or part-time in an eligible Engineering undergraduate program at Adelaide University.

The scholarship is valued at up to $15,000 payable over three years and includes the opportunity of industry experience and a final year project internship.

Value: $5,000 per year up to 3 years (for full time students) Pro-rata payments will apply for part-time students.

• $2,500 after the Semester 1 census date
• $2,500 after the Semester 2 census date

Ongoing recipient payments are subject to recipients maintaining enrolment and satisfactory progress.

Eligibility criteria

The eligible programs are:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical and Advanced Manufacturing) 

 

Eligibility and selection criteria:

 To be eligible for the scholarship‚ applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen‚ Permanent Resident of Australia‚ Holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa or  New Zealand Citizen
  • be a continuing second-year student studying in an eligible Adelaide University Engineering program
  • have full-time (preferred) or part time enrolment
  • demonstrate academic achievement (a cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.5 or above based on results received in the first 1.5 years of the program)
  • provide a written statement clearly addressing the points listed below
  • provide a Curriculum Vitae
  • attend an interview

 

Candidate selection

Applicants must provide a written statement (maximum 750 words) detailing:

  • reasons for studying their Adelaide University mechanical engineering or advanced manufacturing degree and future career goals within the engineering industry
  • any practical engineering experience
  • their knowledge of Korvest and the industry sector in which the company operates
  • academic standing and achievements • any previous and current work experience • community involvement and/or extracurricular activities/interests/hobbies

Preference may be given to female applicants and applicants who are over 21 years of age.
