The John Ridley Memorial Scholarship was established by Public Trustee, as Trustee for the John Ridley Memorial Trust. The trust was established in 1913 to perpetuate the memory of John Ridley, inventor of "The Stripper", the world's first mechanical grain harvester.
The scholarship supports students undertaking a program of study in the field of agriculture or animal science at Adelaide University’s Roseworthy Campus.
Value: $9,000 per year to be paid in two instalments.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking the Honours component of the Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) or Bachelor of Agricultural Science at the Adelaide University's Roseworthy Campus.
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Answers to questions on the application form

- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship
