The John Perry Memorial Travel Scholarship was established in 2008 by the University of Adelaide as a result donations received from various donors in memory of Justice John Perry AO QC. The Scholarship supports students of the Elder Conservatorium of Music and School of Performing Arts who are travelling to competitions, performances or workshops to enhance their study experience.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking undergraduate studies in the Elder Conservatorium of Music
- Be intending to travel or have travelled to competitions, performances or workshops as part of their musical studies Provide documentary evidence of the travel, such as an itinerary, details and budget at the time of application
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full-time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place Demonstrate you are in financial need*
*Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
* Evidence of Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) application or approval does not demonstrate financial need.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Financial need
- Purpose of travel
- Answers to questions on the application form
