The Jiri Tancibudek Memorial Scholarship for Oboe was established in 2004 by the University of Adelaide as a result donations received from various donors in memory of Jiri Tancibudek. The Scholarship is in recognition of the valuable contribution Jiri made through his playing and teaching of the oboe at the Elder Conservatorium of Music.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking studies in oboe and is enrolled in a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance, Bachelor of Music (Advanced) or Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in Classical Performance
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Outstanding talent

- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may be eligible for this Scholarship
