The Jeff Kasparian Regional Relocation Grant assists high school graduates, residing in regional South Australia, to relocate to Adelaide to study at Adelaide University.
This annual grant will be awarded to students who are experiencing financial and/or other educational barriers that impact access to study or continued study and who are commencing their first year of an undergraduate program in Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology.
Value:
$5,000
Payment will be in two instalments:
$2,500 paid upon enrolment
$2,500 paid after Semester 1 census date

To be eligible for this grant‚ applicants must:
⦁ Be an Australian citizen‚ Permanent Residents of Australia Holders of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa or New Zealand Citizens.
⦁ Completed year 12 within the last two years
⦁ Undertaking a College of Engineering and Information Technology program
⦁ Intend to commence study at Adelaide University on a full-time basis and be relocating from a rural, regional and remote community in South Australia to Adelaide for study*.
⦁ Submission of a written statement.
* Home postcode must be outside of Major Cities in Australia based on the ASGC Remoteness Area result from the Health Workforce locator.
Preference may be given to applicants who can demonstrate that they are experiencing financial need.
Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) detailing:
⦁ Reasons for enrolling in their Adelaide University STEM undergraduate program and future career goals.
⦁ Details of any financial and/or other educational barriers that impact access to study or continued study that they would like considered*.
⦁ The school they are graduating from.
⦁ How the grant funds will benefit them.
⦁ Work experience‚ community involvement and/or extracurricular activities.
⦁ Personal achievements.
* Applicants are encouraged to include in narrative form details of their annual income‚ and the annual income of all the people in their household/family and any person/s they support or are supported by.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a panel interview.
The offer of the scholarship is subject to admittance into an undergraduate program in Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology. If the selected student is not offered or does not accept a place in an undergraduate program in Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology‚ the grant will be offered to the next ranked applicant.
