The Adelaide Sarawak Alumni Scholarship was established in July 2001 from a donation of $100,000 by the Chief Minister of Sarawak Y.A.B. Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Abdul Taib bin Mahmud via the University of Adelaide Alumni Association.
The purpose of the scholarship is to promote international alumni relations by providing financial assistance to undergraduate students from Malaysia who have been accepted to study at Adelaide University.

Value: $5,000 to be paid in two instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking the second or subsequent year of any Bachelor's degree
- Be a Malaysian Citizen
- Be enrolled on a full time basis
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Demonstrated commitment to community service (documentary evident must be provided)
- Answers to questions on the application form
Important information
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
- Recipients from previous years may not re-apply in subsequent years
