The Ian and Helen Kowalick Scholarship was established in 2025 through a bequest from the late Helen Marie Kowalick at the University of Adelaide. The scholarship supports undergraduate coursework students who are undertaking a Mathematics, Economics or Law program of study at Adelaide University.
Value: $10,000 per year to be paid in two instalments.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be commencing an undergraduate degree in mathematics, economics, or law at Adelaide University
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (ATAR)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form

- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship
