The GO Foundation Aboriginal Scholarship is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students of Adelaide University who are enrolled full-time or part-time in any undergraduate program‚ including students enrolled in online programs.
The GO Foundation was founded by Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin with a focus on educational attainment for Aboriginal students‚ recognising that education is key to creating a brighter future for Aboriginal Australians.
Applicants must reside in the greater Adelaide region at the time of application. Applicants must be able to attend GO events in the Adelaide CBD and return home on the same day. The scholarship is open to commencing and continuing Adelaide University students.
Value:
$10‚000 per year up to a maximum of three years (up to $30‚000 in total).
Payment will be made in two instalments:
$5‚000 (paid after the census date for Semester 1)
$5‚000 (paid after the census date for Semester 2)
Pro-rata payments will apply for part-time enrolment.

Eligibility

⦁ Aspiration and work ethic (in their academics and other areas of life)
⦁ Cultural identity (an understanding or a desire to understand more about their cultural heritage)
⦁ Desire to give back (applicants should demonstrate how they care about and contribute to the community‚ family and friends)
⦁ Good academic standing (see below)

Academic standing will be determined by:
⦁ Continuing students - Grade Point Average
⦁ Commencing students - ATAR‚ STAT‚ or GPA for graduates of an Adelaide University Pathways and Participation program
Important information
Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a selection panel interview.
Scholarship recipients will participate in the GO Foundation Culture and Mentoring program.
The recipient is required to act as a positive ambassador for the scholarship to encourage tertiary education participation by other Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Continuance of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
