The Ellen Sauer Scholarship was established at the University of Adelaide by Marion Musgrave de Boehme in 1997 to support undergraduate students who are undertaking study in piano, an orchestral instrument or vocal studies in the Elder Conservatorium of Music.

Value: $3,000 per year to be paid in two equal instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance, Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Performance, Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in Classical Performance or Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in Jazz Performance and specialising in piano, an orchestral instrument or vocal studies
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA or ATAR)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form
