The Elizabeth Maud McBriar OAM Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 at the University of Adelaide by Mr Tom Davis (Ms McBriar’s nephew) and Emeritus Professor Diana Walker. The scholarship supports female students who are undertaking an Honours degree in the area of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Geoscience.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking an Honours (final) year of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in the area of Earth Sciences, (encompassing Geology, Geophysics or Environmental Geoscience)
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Be a female student
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Answers to questions on the application form
