The Lottie & Aileen Connon Scholarship was established in 2008 at the University of Adelaide by Dr Aileen Connon AM to support two students undertaking an undergraduate medicine program.
The Scholarship has been named the Lottie & Aileen Connon Scholarship in honour of Dr Aileen Connon’s mother, Lottie Connon.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking second year of the Bachelor Medical Studies
- Be an Australian Citizen
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form
- Preference for a student who has relocated from a regional, rural or remote location to undertake study at the Adelaide University
- Preference for a female student
Important information
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other donor funded Scholarships administered by Adelaide University may not apply for this Scholarship
