The Joseph Miller Travel Scholarship in Engineering was established by a bequest from the late Joseph Miller to support two undergraduate students who are undertaking any second or third year Bachelor’s level program in the field of engineering for the purpose of studying abroad for one semester.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be undertaking the second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering program
- Have already completed 24 units and have at least 12 units remaining in their Bachelor of Engineering program upon their return from travel
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Have the coursework component of the overseas study pre-approved by the College of Engineering and Information Technology prior to an application for enrolment being made, and applicants must submit evidence of approval to study from the overseas Host Organisation as part of the application process.
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form

• You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply• The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
• This scholarship will go towards travel and living costs for overseas study which contributes to the award of the student's second or third year of study
• Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
