The EMR Travel Scholarship in Classical Performance was established in 2004 at the University of Adelaide by a significant charitable donation to the Elder Conservatorium of Music. The Scholarship supports music students majoring in Classical Performance (instrumental, vocal or conducting) who are recent graduates of no more than 2 years, of the School of Performing Arts and Elder Conservatorium of Music undertake further advanced study overseas (privately, or under the auspices of an institution).

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be nearing completion of their undergraduate or postgraduate program majoring in Classical Performance (instrumental, vocal or conducting) in the Elder Conservatorium of Music, or Be a recent graduate of no more than 2 years of the Elder Conservatorium of Music
- Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident of Australia
- Provide documentary evidence of advanced study overseas, such as itinerary, details of the advanced study overseas and the budget at the time of application
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Musical achievements
- Answers to questions on the application form
Important information
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- Should the recipient not proceed with their planned travel and/or study and payment has already been made to the recipient, then the funds are to be repaid to the University as agreed by the recipient and the University
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship
