The CSIRO Indigenous STEM Scholarship was established by the University of Adelaide in 2024 as a result of sponsorship support provided from the CSIRO. The scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking a science, technology, engineering or mathematics program of study.

Value: $5,000 per year to be paid in two equal instalments (full-time enrollment) or $2,500 per year to be paid in two equal instalments (part-time enrollment).
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must:
- Be undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework science, technology, engineering or mathematics program of study
- Be an Australian Citizen of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent
- Be enrolled on a full time or part time basis as a Commonwealth supported student
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA or ATAR)
- Answers to questions on the application form

- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- Applicants must provide Confirmation of Aboriginality and/or a Statutory Declaration at time of application
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
