The CA Mirelli’s Scholarship for Dalmatian Exiles was established in 2008 from a bequest to the University of Adelaide from Carlo Antonio Mirelli to support undergraduate students of Italian descent commencing an undergraduate program of study.

Value: $10,000 per year to be paid in two equal instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be commencing any Bachelors degree
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate family connection with the regions of Croatia, Slovenia and/or Italy
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (ATAR)
- Financial need
- Demonstrated family connection with the regions of Croatia, Slovenia and/or Italy. Preference will be given to South Australian students of Italian origin whose families migrated to Australia from the city of Zara in the region of Dalmatia now forming part of Croatia or from the regions known as Istria or Venezia Guiulia now forming part of Croatia or Slovenia or from other regions of Italy

- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship
- Applicants will be required to demonstrate their family connection with the listed regions. The University reserves the right to seek advice from whatever sources it chooses to establish whether applicants have demonstrated a family connection with the city of Zara or the regions outlined above
