The AU Online Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grant supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait students enrolled in a Adelaide University (AU) Online program.
Value: $5‚500
Payment will be in three instalments:
$1‚000 (paid after the census date for the relevant study period)
$2‚250 (paid following the completion of four AU Online courses)
$2‚250 (paid following the completion of eight AU Online courses)
Ongoing payments are subject to the following:
• Remain enrolled in an AU Online program.
• Satisfactory academic performance.
• Change of program permitted, providing it is to another AU Online program.
Scholarship recipients who are enrolled part-time will receive pro-rata payments.

Eligibility
Eligibility and selection criteria: To be eligible for the grant, students must meet all of the following three criteria:
- Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student (submission of an Affirmation of Aboriginality Form will be required).
- Be enrolled in a AU Online program that is a minimum of two years equivalent to at least two courses or one course part-time‚ be in their first academic year‚ at census date.
- Be enrolled in either a full-time or part-time load.
Selection criteria
Application notes: Where the number of eligible applications exceeds the number of scholarships available, scholarships may be awarded in order of application submission.
When assessing applications, preference will be given to applicants who:
- are experiencing financial disadvantage
- have a disability
- are living regional/rural/isolated area
- are the first in their family to undertake tertiary study
- are a single parent
- have significant carer responsibilities
Important information
- A student may receive the AU Online Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grant only once.
- Students may be in receipt of another scholarship or grant administered by Adelaide University.
