The Adelaide University Aboriginal Student Scholarship supports Aboriginal students who have demonstrated financial barriers to accessing post-secondary study. Recipients will receive an annual stipend of up to $6,000 per annum for up to 4 years of full time study or part-time equivalent.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students (including AU Online)
- An Australian Citizen of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent
- Demonstrate financial barriers to access post-secondary study
To be eligible for relocation grant, the home postcode as recorded in the student record, must be outside of Major Cities in Australia.
Students experiencing financial hardship may be eligible for an additional accommodation bursary.

Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Demonstrated financial barriers
- Home postcode as per the student record to determine relocation grant eligibility

- Applications open early 2026.
- One off relocation grant of $1,500 to students relocating from postcodes outside of Major Cities in Australia areas based on the ASGC Remoteness Area result from the Health Workforce locator: https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/health-workforce-locator/app
- $500 Starter Pack grant paid to all students who are awarded this scholarship
- Bursaries to support accommodation expenses for one year are available as part of this scholarship for students experiencing financial hardship and who provide supporting documentation
