The Carter Property Scholarship is available to high-achieving students who are enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Property at Adelaide University.
The scholarship includes the opportunity for recipients to undertake paid work experience at Aspen Group in Sydney at a mutually agreed time. The industry experience will typically take place during the summer teaching break for a minimum of two weeks.
Each Scholarship is valued at $15,000 payable over two years with one awarded per annum.
Value: up to $15,000 payable as $7,500 per year for a maximum of two years.
Scholarship recipients will receive the following payments each year for the duration of the scholarship:
• $3,750 after the Semester 1 census date
• $3,750 after the Semester 2 census date

To be eligible for the scholarship‚ applicants must:
⦁ be an Australian citizen‚ permanent resident of Australia‚ holders of permanent humanitarian visa or New Zealand Citizens)
⦁ be a second-year student studying Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Property
⦁ have full-time enrolment
⦁ demonstrate high academic achievement – a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 or above (Credit average based on first year results)
⦁ agree to undertake a work placement (minimum two weeks) at Aspen Group in Sydney at a mutually agreed time
⦁ provide a written statement clearly addressing the points listed below
⦁ provide statements from two referees as character references‚ with at least one reference from a referee not connected to the applicant’s secondary school or university
⦁ attend an interview
Applicants must provide:
1. a written statement (maximum 750 words) detailing:
⦁ reasons for studying a Commerce degree majoring in Property
⦁ future career goals and personal aspirations
⦁ their knowledge of Aspen Group and the industry sector in which the company operates
⦁ interest in attending a paid work placement at Aspen and what they would like to achieve during placement
⦁ academic standing and achievements
⦁ prior work experience‚ community involvement and extracurricular activities/interests
2. statements from two referees as character references‚ with at least one reference from a referee not connected to the applicant’s secondary school or university
Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 750 words) and two referee reports as outlined above. Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an interview.
