Founded in 2012, Auta Group is an Adelaide-based project development, construction, real estate, and property management company.

The Auta Group Civil Engineering Scholarship is available to second-year students enrolled full-time (preferred) or part-time in an eligible engineering undergraduate program at Adelaide University.

Recipients receive a $24,000 scholarship payable over three years. The scholarship and ongoing payments are subject to satisfactory academic progression.

Value:
$24,000 per student, which comprises of $8,000 per year for three years.

Payment will be in two instalments:
$4,000 (paid after the Semester 1 census date)
$4,000 (paid after the Semester 2 census date)

To be eligible to receive the scholarship payments successful applicants must:
– Remain enrolled Semester 1 & 2 census dates.
– Maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Pro-rata payments will apply for part time enrolments.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must:
⦁ Be an Australian citizen‚ Permanent Resident of Australia ‚Holders of Permanent Humanitarian Visa, Students from a refugee or humanitarian background, New Zealand Citizens or International student.
⦁ Be a continuing second-year student
⦁ Have full-time (preferred) or part-time enrolment in one of the eligible undergraduate programs listed below:
⦁ Be experiencing financial need
⦁ Demonstrate academic achievement (a cumulative GPA of 4.5 or above based on results received in the first year of their program)
⦁ Provide a curriculum vitae
⦁ Provide a written statement clearly addressing the points listed below

Applicants must demonstrate financial and/or other educational barriers that impact access to study or continued study to apply for the scholarship. This can be done by providing evidence of current receipt of a Health Care Card and/or a means-tested Centrelink benefit e.g. Austudy‚ Abstudy‚ Youth Allowance‚ etc. Applicants not in receipt of government means tested benefits can complete the Adelaide University Financial Details for Scholarship Eligibility form‚ to support their application.

Selection criteria

Applicants must provide a written statement (maximum 750 words) detailing:
⦁ Personal background (including community involvement and/or extracurricular activities/interests/hobbies)
⦁ Reasons for studying their civil engineering or construction management program and future career goals within the engineering/construction industry
⦁ Academic standing and achievements
⦁ Any previous or current work experience
⦁ Interest in engaging with the Auta Group to develop practical engineering experience.

The scholarship will be awarded based on the written statement outlining why the applicant would be a worthy recipient.

Important information

The opportunity exists to offer recipients industry experience and final year project internship by liaising with the Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology.
