The Australian Steel Institute Honours Scholarship in Civil Engineering was established at the University of Adelaide in 2016 from a gift from the Australian Steel Institute to support Honours students undertaking study in civil engineering.

Value: $5,000 to be paid in two equal instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must:
- Be undertaking the final year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Civil) or the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Architectural & Structural)
- Have completed CIVILENG CEME 3003 Structural Steel Design in the third year of the program and in the year preceding the award of the scholarship
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand Citizen
- Be enrolled on a full-time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit
Important information
- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded to a student based on the best results in the course CIVILENG CEME 3003 Structural Steel Design undertaken in the third year, in the year preceding the award of the scholarship
- If there are two or more students of equal merit, the scholarship will be divided equally amongst them
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
