The Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) Research Scholarship has been established to support exceptional students engaged in advanced research in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Adelaide University.

To be eligible for the grant, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in one of the below listed programs and required courses:
Master of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning:
COMP6024 - ICT Master Capstone Project 1
and
COMP6000 - ICT Master Capstone Project 2
Master of Data Science:
COMP6024 - ICT Master Capstone Project 1
and
COMP6000 - ICT Master Capstone Project 2
Master of Computer Science:
COMP SCI 7100A - Research Project Master Computer Science Part A
Master of Mathematical Sciences:
MATHX406 - Mathematics Research Project 1
and
MATHX407 - Mathematics Research Project 2
Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours):

- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen, holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or international student (holding a valid study visa)
- Be enrolled on a full-time basis
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Demonstrated academic excellence and strong potential for significant research contributions
- Advanced capabilities in programming languages, familiarity with libraries and frameworks, deep learning and neural networks, and common statistical concepts.
- Answers to questions on the application form
- Performance at an interview
Important information
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible to apply
- International students and their proposed research project must be endorsed by the Office of the Chief Security Office. This task will be undertaken by the Australian Institute for Machine Learning for shortlisted applicants only.
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
