The Arved and Suzanne Kurtz Scholarship was established at the University of Adelaide in 1991 by a gift from Peter Mathews to support students studying viola, violin, cello or double bass at the Elder Conservatorium of Music.

Value: $2,300 per year to be paid in two instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be commencing undergraduate studies in viola, violin, cello or double bass at the Elder Conservatorium of Music
- Be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full-time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- A student who demonstrates outstanding potential

- There is no application process for this scholarship, it will be directly awarded
- You must meet all of the above listed criteria to be eligible
- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may be eligible for this Scholarship
