The Andrew and Alexander Saint Scholarships have been established in perpetuity by Bruce Saint and the late Shirley Saint in memory of their children Andrew and Alexander Saint. These scholarships support three commencing undergraduate students undertaking a program of study at Adelaide University.
Andrew Saint studied at the University of Adelaide from 2000-2004 and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) with First Class Honours and Bachelor of Science in 2004. Andrew won numerous awards including four Dean’s Certificates of Merit, Western Mining Corporation Prize for top student in Chemical Engineering Projects in 2002 and 2004 and the Aker Kvaerner Chemical Design Award in 2005.
Alexander Saint studied at the University of Adelaide from 2002-2005 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2005.

Value: $15,000 per year to be paid in two instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be commencing any Bachelors degree
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (ATAR)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form

- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students receiving other Adelaide University Scholarships may apply for this Scholarship
