The Alexander Saint Scholarship in Science was established at the University of Adelaide in 2016 by Bruce Saint and the late Shirley Saint in memory of their youngest son, Alexander Saint. The Scholarship supports commencing undergraduate students who are undertaking a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science (Advanced) or Bachelor of Biomedical and Health Sciences program of study at Adelaide University.

Value: $15,000 per year to be paid in two instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must:
- Be commencing a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor or Biomedical and Health Sciences
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- Be enrolled on a full time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
*Evidence of Tertiary Access Payment (TAP) application or approval does not demonstrate financial need.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (ATAR)
- Financial disadvantage
- Answers to questions on the application form

- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
- Students in receipt of other Adelaide University Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship
