Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology will provide financial assistance to eligible students who meet specified equity criteria who are pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate by coursework program within Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology or College of Science.
Selection:
Selection will be made after the Semester 1 or 2 census dates each year. Assessment is made on the basis of financial need‚ academic merit‚ a personal written statement and supporting documentation.
Value:
$3‚000 per year for the duration of the program. For example‚ a 3 year Bachelor’s degree would be eligible for a maximum of $9‚000.
For double/combined degree students‚ the scholarship will only apply for 4 years. Payment will be made after the Semester 1 and Semester 2 census dates.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident of Australia, Holders of Permanent Humanitarian Visa or New Zealand citizens.
• Be enrolled in an Associate Degree‚ Bachelor‚ Graduate Certificate‚ Graduate Diploma‚ Master degree offered by Adelaide University College of Engineering and Information Technology or College of Science‚ including Adelaide University Online degrees
• Be enrolled full-time or part-time
• Students from a recognised equity group‚ who have not already been awarded an Adelaide University STEM Aboriginal Scholarship‚ Women in STEM Scholarship‚ or STEM Rural Scholarship. This includes but is not limited to students that:
o Identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
o identify as LGBTIQA+
o are from non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB)
o are from regional and remote communities based on postcode of permanent home residence, or relocating from a rural or remote area to study
o are women in non-traditional subject areas
o have a disability or ongoing medical condition
o are from low socioeconomic backgrounds (SES).
• Students experiencing ongoing educational challenges related to one of the following areas:
o Students with carer responsibilities who are in receipt of a carers allowance/payment via Centrelink.
o Single parents and/or principal carers who are in receipt of a parenting payment via Centrelink.
o Principal carers of a child with a disability.
o Experiencing financial barriers that impact access to study or continued study and in receipt of a Centrelink benefit.
o Impacted by domestic violence or other crisis.
