These Grants provide financial assistance to Adelaide University students who are in financially need and who are Lesbian‚ Gay‚ Bi+‚ Transgender‚ Intersex‚ Queer* and/or Asexual.
* In the context of this Grant‚ Queer is used to describe people of diverse genders‚ bodies and sexualities.
Value: $2‚000.00 paid in two instalments:
$1‚000 after Semester 1 census date
$1‚000 after Semester 2 census date
Pro rata payment applies to part time recipients.

Students are eligible to apply for an Adelaide University Rainbow Pride Grant if they:
⦁ Are an Australian citizen‚ a permanent resident of Australia, holders of permanent humanitarian visa, or New Zealand Citizens.
⦁ Are enrolled full-time or part-time in an undergraduate program.
⦁ Are Lesbian‚ Gay‚ Bi+‚ Transgender‚ Intersex‚ Queer* and/or Asexual.
⦁ Can provide evidence of financial need.
Applications may be weighted according to the following factors:
⦁ Identifying as Aboriginal
⦁ Living in a regional/rural/isolated area
⦁ Having a disability
⦁ Non-English speaking background
Applicants must submit a written statement of no more than 500 words describing how they contribute to LGBTIQA+ communities and how the Grant will assist them. Alternatively‚ in lieu of a written statement‚ applicants may submit a written endorsement provided by Adelaide University's Pride Club.
To be eligible to receive the Grant payments successful applicants must:
⦁ Remain enrolled after Semester 1 and Semester 2 census dates.
⦁ Maintain satisfactory academic progress as per Adelaide University’s Assessment Policies and Procedures.
Preference is given to applicants who have not received the grant previously.
Where the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of grants available‚ the grants will be awarded in order of application submission.
