Credit for previous study
Credit is the recognition of prior learning (RPL), which can be applied towards your Adelaide University degree. If you are granted credit, the number of courses you’ll complete as part of your program and the overall length of your program may be reduced.
Before applying for credit, please familiarise yourself with the University’s Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Credit Procedure.
Depending on the type of credit for which you have applied, you will be required to attach supporting documentation to your application. Supporting documentation may include:
An official academic transcript from a previous program
Subject information for all previous courses or subjects listed on your academic transcripts that you think may be equivalent to core units in the degree. Subject information may be scanned copies of relevant handbook or course guides.
A copy of your CV, a letter from your employer, and/or similar documentation if applying for credit based on your professional work experience.
Please note: Any documentation in a language other than English must be translated into English by a NAATI accredited translator.
To assist in the assessment process, please ensure that your supporting documentation files have been appropriately named (e.g. "University of Guelph Transcript", "Copy of TAFE Nursing Diploma").
Your application for credit will be processed by the relevant staff. You may be contacted if further information is required, and the outcome of your application will be sent to you when complete.
