What you'll learn

Our Master of Accounting and Business Analytics will cover business fundamentals, along with advanced accounting and business analytics principles. You’ll also get familiar with cutting-edge AI tools and how they can be applied to make complex business decisions.

In your first year, you’ll build a solid foundation on key business principles, with topics on quantitative methods, economic principles, accounting concepts and methods, principles of finance and business analytics. You will also cover more specialised topics like accounting systems and processes, intermediate financial reporting and customer analytics. Understand how accounting systems are used in organisations to make decisions and problem-solve. Learn how to apply accounting standards to make informed policy choices. Be able to analyse customer data to improve business performance.

In second year, go deeper into advanced accounting and business analytics. Study topics on predictive and visual analytics, commercial and business law, management accounting, auditing and assurance services, advanced financial accounting, and managing with big data analytics. Understand how to use existing and emerging AI tools to help you make decisions – such as forecasting product sales or market trends. Build an awareness of business laws and regulations, current issues in auditing and methods for consolidating financial statements. Discover financial budgeting and forecasting techniques and how to leverage AI for processing big data. You’ll also tailor your studies by choosing between a course on chatbots and text analytics for business, or taxation law. Consolidate your learning with an industry project on business analytics in your final months – preparing you for the real world.
