Notes

  • 1. Students who have completed language courses within their undergraduate degree will be awarded a maximum of 24 units of credit.

    2. Students who can demonstrate prior learning/experience in their chosen language, may be eligible to commence their studies at 2A. Students may be required to attend an interview and/or sit for a placement test as determined by the program director.

    3. French, Japanese, and Italian languages in this program can only be studied part-time due to prerequisite requirements.

    4. The English language specialisation can be studied full-time or part-time.

    5. Students of Asian languages or European Languages may include a study abroad experience. Students intending to seek OS-HELP funding for this will be required to take this after completion of a full year of study, and have at least 0.125 EFTSL of their program left to complete once they have finished their overseas study. If this is completed in the final semester of their program, all associated costs will be borne by the student.

    6. LANG3003 - European Languages In-Country is studied at an approved tertiary institute in a country that is appropriate for the target language. Students intending to complete a study abroad semester need to negotiate the integration of this within their program study plan, consulting with their Program Director.
