Entry requirements
Admission criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved at least one of the following minimum entry requirements and fulfil any essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.
- A completed bachelor (AQF level 7) or bachelor honours (AQF level 8) degree or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution; OR
- A completed nested or related graduate certificate (AQF level 8) or higher from a recognised higher education institution.
English language entry requirements
In addition, international students who speak English as an additional language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission. Possession of one or more of these qualifications, in addition to the academic entry requirements, does not, in itself, guarantee a place at Adelaide University. Applications are considered on an individual basis and selection is competitive. Where previous study/work experience was conducted in English, the application must be accompanied by certified documentation from the educational institution/employer certifying that the language of instruction/employment was English.

Overview
Develop your knowledge of the global business environment while maximising your career development opportunities and employment prospects. Build foundational business knowledge on intercultural communication, accounting, marketing, analytics and finance. As part of your specialisation in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, you’ll build your expertise in effectively coordinating the flow of products on time and within budget.
Our IMBA is open to international students only – meaning you’ll study with a diverse cohort from all over the world. There will also be opportunities to build your industry networks. Connect with senior business leaders through mentorships, guest speakers and real company case studies. Tailor your studies to suit your needs with a project in an area of choice and interesting elective courses.
As a graduate, you’ll be an innovative leader. You will be able to recognise and navigate disruptions to supply chains to achieve company goals. You’ll have the skills to work in management and leadership positions across warehousing, inventory management, purchasing, transport and distribution.

What you'll learn
Your two-year degree will comprise of 11 core courses, a capstone industry project, one elective and three specialised courses in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
In your first year you’ll be introduced to critical aspects of global business, culture and customs. You’ll then build functional business knowledge including tackling marketing problems in business practice, the potential and limitations of data analytics and understanding financial and management accounting reports.
In your second year, build your specialised knowledge on procurement and supply chain management with topics on integrated logistics management, sustainable value chains and strategic procurement. You’ll also complete a project on a topic aligned to your career aspirations and interests.

Study hours
Your courses will require a combination of different learning formats, including lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and practicals.
