Course overview

This course will consolidate students' knowledge and skills in creative writing and literature as a basis for future integration in their respective professional and creative contexts. Students will consolidate and extend their critical understanding of the creative process within their own writing and in relation to the works of other authors. Students will build on material, ideas, concepts and issues introduced in preceding courses and explore new theoretical orientations, extending their literary knowledge, and refining their skills in text analysis and creative writing in order to develop their professional competencies within the field of creative writing and literature. Students will have opportunities to consider their work in relation to literary theory and opportunities for professional publication.
