Course overview

This course will enable students to continue to develop their original art practice through intense studio work, or through specialist theory study. This course will provide students with a sound critical base upon which to further develop their individual art practice. This course will further explore notions of culture and cultural interaction as they impact upon the production of artwork. Students will further develop an informed and self-critical approach to art making. Projects will reflect current issues in local and international arts practice. Although primarily based in one study area, students will have the opportunity to move outside that discipline to fulfil their study aims.

  • Create artworks with a range of cultural references
  • Create artworks which have been informed by both Modernist and Postmodernist practice
