Course overview
This course will develop students' skills in the principles of drawing. Students will develop skills associated with observation, analysis and interpretation, techniques and materials, proportion, form, analysis of structure, spatial organisation, format and composition, providing opportunities to acquire the capabilities and awareness of drawing as a form of documentation and expression.
Course learning outcomes
- Use technical skills and material processes in the production of contemporary art using Drawing as a form of documentation and expression.
- Summarise the conceptual and theoretical frameworks that underpin Drawing as a contemporary art practice.
- Employ knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements of the Drawing studio and in the manufacture of contemporary art.
